Jagungal Wilderness – February 2021

Three days bikepacking through some pretty steep trails in the Jagungal Wilderness. The photos don’t do the place justice, it’s truly a beautiful part of the world, and we’re so lucky to have it on our doorstep! Slow going for me, but I got there in the end and even managed to land a couple of rainbows on the glass 3wt.

We went through and stayed at some of the historic huts up there including Whites River, Horse Camp, Valentines and Grey Mares Hut. Already planning another trip up there, but from the Round Mountain end to cover off the other side of the area.

Bikepacking – July 2020

My first solo trip overnight on the bike to Berlang Campground and back. 185kms total, around 5.5hrs riding time each way (little slower on return). Everything went as planned which was great. I have a few ideas on improving my setup and reducing some of the bulk for the next ride, but overall good times.
